Untamed: A Fresh Spicy Perfume of Bergamot, Pepper and Ambroxan
Untamed is a fresh spicy woody Eau de Parfum for men, built on Calabrian bergamot, pepper and ambroxan. It opens bright and peppery, moves through lavender and vetiver, and dries down to cedar and labdanum. The profile is aromatic, dry and energetic. Untamed works year-round and covers active days as well as dinner plans. Its projection is very strong, so a little goes a long way. It is an Eau de Parfum, a concentrated perfume format, with high intensity and long-lasting wear.
Journey Through Scent
First Impression: Calabrian bergamot opens Untamed with a juicy, slightly bitter citrus brightness. Pepper follows immediately, dry and sharp, giving the start its spicy edge. The effect is immediate and awake, with spice arriving almost as fast as citrus.
The Heart: The heart is aromatic. Lavender and geranium add a cool herbal-floral note. Sichuan pepper and pink pepper extend the spice, while vetiver, patchouli and elemi, a lemony tree resin, add earthy depth. This stage is the most complex, moving between herbs, spice and earth.
The Lasting Memory: Dry-down is the final phase of a fragrance after the opening fades. Untamed settles into ambroxan, cedar and labdanum. Ambroxan gives a smooth mineral-woody glow; labdanum adds a warm resinous finish. The spice softens here, leaving a dry woody warmth on the skin.
Crafted For Active Days and the Plans After
Untamed suits men with full, moving days: a morning run, a site visit, a match with friends, then dinner. The fresh bergamot and pepper feel right outdoors and in heat. The woody base carries into the evening. It works year-round, including Indian summers, when heavier perfumes feel crowded. Apply it after training or before heading out, as the reset between one part of the day and the next.
Why Untamed Fragrance
- Very strong projection: Untamed projects strongly. One spray on the chest and one on the neck is usually enough.
- Long-lasting through movement: It is rated long-lasting, so it holds through an active day without constant reapplication.
- Pepper in three forms: Black, pink and Sichuan pepper give the scent a layered, dry spice rather than a single sharp note.
- Year-round wear: The fresh citrus and aromatic heart suit hot months; the woody base keeps it relevant in winter.
- A clear reset point: Its bright opening marks the change between activities, pulling your attention to where you are now.
Inspired by Wind on an Open Hill Road
Picture a hill road in the late afternoon, windows down after a long drive. The air is dry and bright. Pepper vines climb the trees along the slope, and wild lavender grows by the verge. At the top, cedar trees and warm stone hold the last sun. Untamed carries that climb: citrus and pepper on the wind, then wood and warm resin.

It lasts long and projects very strongly, so apply lightly. Choose Untamed for active days and the evenings that follow them, and keep it close for the moment you switch gears.

I tried Untamed and the first spray was really fresh and vibrant, with a clean mix of citrus and floral notes. After a few hours, it settled into a smoother, warmer scent with soft woody and musky tones, which made it feel more elegant on my skin. It lasted about 6 to 7 hours on me, and even longer on my clothes, almost the whole day. I wore it while going out during the day and it stayed noticeable without being too strong. It gave me a confident, fresh, well-groomed feeling. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes classy fragrances with both freshness and warmth. Everything arrived smoothly, and my only suggestion would be slightly more premium packaging.
I used Untamed and the first spray gave me a fresh smell that felt nice right away. After a few hours, it settled down and became mild, which made it easy to wear through the day. I wore it to the office, so for me it worked well as an everyday scent. It does last long on me, but I wouldn’t call it something special or standout. I think people who really like fresh smells would enjoy it more than I did. My overall rating would be 3 out of 5 – it’s okay, not bad, but not special for me. You can wear it casually, but I don’t think it’s the best choice for a special occasion.
